     His biological father, Harry Andrew Eden, died on July 6, 1893, at 30 yrs. of age from yellow fever. He was born in April 1863.
     His mother's name was Mary Elizabeth Eden, nee Foreman. She remarried on January 10, 1910, a man named James T. Grenalds.
     Dr. Glover had 2 older siblings by his biological parents whose names were Harry Andrew Eden and Ella Mae (May) Vaughan Green, nee Eden. She was married twice, first to Solomon Vaughan and then to St. Clair Green. They all lived in Portsmouth, VA. Mary E. Eden was from Norfolk, VA. Harry Andrew Eden's parents names were Edward Eden and Elizabeth Eden from Philadelphia, PA. Mary E. Eden's parents names were Isaiah & Fanny Foreman, nee Culpepper.
     Dr. Glover, my grandfather, married my grandmother, Edith Lyle Glover, nee McConnal/McConnell. They had two children-my father, Robert Edward Glover and my aunt, Margaret Rose Rountree, nee Glover.

He pledged as security his Negro man Frederick, about age 26, and his Negro woman Judy, about age 21 (Norfolk Deed Bk 73, p. 2). Henry E. Culpepper's father, Henry, Jr, had died before 1840. And it would appear that his mother, Martha (Owens) Culpepper, died around 1845, when his older brother Zachariah became his guardian.

With sad regret that we announce the death of Mrs Martha Helen, the beloved wife of Henry E. Culpeper, Sr., which sad event took place yesterday morning at the residence of her husband, on the corner of South and Court Streets. Mrs. Culpeper was well known in Portsmouth for her many acts of charity. She leaves a husband and seven children to mourn their loss. She was the mother of Drs. V. C. and Charles Culpeper, also sister of Mr. Vernon C. Grant, a commission merchant of Norfolk. The funeral will take place this afternoon from the residence of her husband.

The funeral of Mrs. Martha Helen Culpeper took place yesterday afternoon from the residence of her husband on the corner of South and Court Streets. Rev. Dr. J. D. Blackwell delivered an impressive sermon, after which the remains were borne to Cedar Grove Cemetery. We were unable to get a list of the pallbearers, but we can safely say that for a lady, it one of the largest funerals we have ever seen in Portsmouth.11
