Tattnall County
History
In the Lower Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Tattnall County was formed in 1801 from
Montgomery
County. Its county seat,
Reidsville, is about 220 miles southeast of Atlanta and 75 miles west of Savannah. Tattnall is bordered by the counties of
Candler, Evans,
Liberty, Long,
Wayne, Appling and
Toombs.
