Long County

History
In the Lower Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Long County was formed in 1920 from
Liberty County. Its county seat,
Ludowici, is on
US-84 about 240 miles southeast of Atlanta and 50 miles southwest of Savannah. Long is bordered by the counties of
Liberty,
Tattnall, Wayne and
McIntosh.
