Bulloch County
History
In the Lower Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Bulloch County was formed in 1796 from Bryan and
Screven Counties. Its county seat,
Statesboro, is on
US-80 and US-301 about 200 miles southeast of Atlanta and 80 miles northwest of Savannah. Bulloch is bordered by the counties of
Jenkins, Screven,
Effingham, Bryan,
Evans,
Candler and Emanuel.
