Jenkins County
History
In the Upper Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Jenkins County was formed in
1905 from parts of Bulloch,
Burke, Emanuel and
Screven Counties. Its county seat,
Millen, is on
US-25 about 175 miles ESE of Atlanta and 50 miles south of Augusta. Jenkins is bordered by the counties of
Burke, Screven, Bulloch and
Emanuel.
