Turner County

History

In the Upper Coastal Plains Region of Georgia, Turner County was formed in 1905 from Wilcox, Irwin, Dooly, and Worth Counties. Its county seat, Ashburn, is on I-75 about 165 miles south of Atlanta. Turner is bordered by the counties of Crisp, Wilcox, Ben Hill, Irwin, Tift and Worth.
