Tift County

History

In the Upper Coastal Plains Region of Georgia, Tift County was formed in 1905 from Berrien, Irwin, and Worth Counties. Its county seat, Tifton, is on I-75 about 185 miles south of Atlanta. Tift is bordered by the counties of Turner, Irwin, Berrien, Cook, Colquitt and Worth.
