Hall County
History
In the Piedmont Region of Georgia,
Hall County was formed in 1818 as an original county from
the Cherokee cessions. Its county seat,
Gainesville, is on
I-985 about 60 miles northeast of Atlanta. Hall is bordered by the counties of
White, Habersham,
Banks, Jackson,
Gwinnett, Forsyth, Dawson and Lumpkin.

on Airline Road and go about 1.5 miles. The church and half of the
cemetery is on the left side of the road; the other half of the cemetery
