Located in woods near Cyril, Alabama. There is a plaque nailed on a post which states: "Mr. Henry was born in Alabama. He shows up in Lauderdale County, MS with a wife, Julia A. Culpepper, and several children. Around 1855, he moved to Cyril. James F. and Simion A. are his oldest sons. They both had children before they died. Mary is daughter of James F. Mr. Henry had nine children. There are some unmarked graves here. In 1908, Mr. Henry moved from Hendon with his second wife, Elizabeth Haygood, and son John, and family to the Elwood community, Clarke County, MS."

Obituary* | 28 May 2017 | Warren Harding Culpepper passed away 26 May 2017 at the age of 95. Dick, as he was known, was born in Compass Lake Florida. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Warrant Officer and the U.S. Government as a Civilian when he and his wife Geneva moved to Provo, Utah. In his retirement years he spent more than three decades researching the Culpepper family history, and is one of the leading researchers on the early family in the Carolinas, Virginia, and England. Dick’s book “Culpeppers of England and America” can be found on the internet for all to share, learn and enjoy. Dick was a kind and generous neighbor and enjoyed golfing in the foothills of Provo. He is preceded in death by his wife Ellen Geneva Culpepper, brothers Howard and James Culpepper, and son Richard Culpepper. He leaves with us his sons Buddy Caress, Jim Caress, and Thomas Culpepper, daughter Diane Bowmen, grandchildren Jennifer White, Kimberley McGee, Elijah Culpepper, Chelsea Culpepper, and four great grandchildren.8Dick Culpepper |
