Saluda County

History
In the western South
Carolina part of the Piedmont region, Saluda County was formed in 1896
from Edgefield County. Its county seat, the
town of Saluda, is on US-378, about 65 miles southeast of Greenville,
and 35 miles west of Columbia. Saluda County is bordered by the counties
of Newberry, Lexington,
Aiken, Edgefield,
Greenwood and Laurens.
