In the Lower Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Cook County was formed in 1918 from
Berrien County. Its county seat,
Adel, is on I-75 about 210 miles south of Atlanta and 75 miles northwest of Tallahassee, FL. Cook is bordered by the counties of
Tift,
Berrien,
Lowndes, Brooks and
Colquitt.
