Marriage*30 May 1861 She married Jeremiah Culpepper at Butler Co., Alabama, on 30 May 1861.1,2
Birth of Soncirca 1865 Her son William W. Culpepper was born circa 1865 at Alabama
Birth of Soncirca 1868 Her son Darrel Decatur Culpepper was born circa 1868 at Alabama
1870 Census1 Jun 1870 Mary, Cynthia, William, Sarah and Darrel listed as a household member living with Jeremiah Culpepper on the 1870 Census at Lowndes Co., Alabama.3
Birth of Soncirca 1871 Her son Euit Culpepper was born circa 1871 at Alabama
1880 Census1 Jun 1880 Mary was listed as Jeremiah Culpepper's wife on the 1880 Census at Pine Apple, Wilcox Co., Alabama.4
Biography* This writer assumes that Mary was the mother of all of Jerry's children listed in the 1870 census of Lowndes County, AL. If that was the case, then she could not have been born in 1850, as the 1870 census seems to indicate. If the 1850 birth date is correct, then it is possible that she was Jerry's daughter by his first wife, or else was his third wife. Further research is needed.
