Culpepper, 90, joined her beloved husband, Marvin Woods Culpepper in heaven on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Born in Selma, Alabama to the late Robert and Lida M. Olive Bates, Annette dedicated her life to faithfully serving her husband, raising her children to love Jesus Christ, and to the making of their home. She was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill, Alabama. Mrs. Culpepper will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, and friend whose greatest pleasure was spending time with the ones she loved. In addition to her husband and parents, Annette was also preceded in death by her daughter, Camilla Ann Robertson; and her grandson, Marty Robertson. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Cheryl Stafford of Kathleen and Woods Culpepper of Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren, Jennifer Burkhalter (Rob), Andy Stafford IV (Laura), Lee Robertson, and Jayne Burns (Brandon); five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6th at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill, Alabama. Mrs. Culpepper will be laid to rest following the service in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Annette to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund... or Love Langston Fund....2 |

Harris, Jr., an attorney and native of Dallas, brothers and sisters, Winston F. Taylor, Melba Taylor Warren, Charlie C. Taylor, Jack C. Taylor and Shirley Taylor Shirejian Miles. Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 2 in The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 11122 Midway Rd. where she was a member for 60 years, and was a member of the Altar Guild for 43 years, retiring in 2001. Prior to that she and John helped start St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, Dallas. There she also served as a member of the Altar Guild. In addition to her church Gennie was a member of The Dallas Woman's Club, The Marianne Scruggs Garden Club, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and a past president of The Lyceum Club. As a family history researcher she was a member of the John Cavet Chapter of the U. S. Daughters of 1812, Jane Douglas Chapter of NSDAR, Dallas County Pioneer Association, and Founding Families of the State of South Carolina. She graduated from Paschal HS in Ft. Worth, attended Texas Tech College, Lubbock and The University of Texas at Austin. During WWII she worked at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi and Delta Airlines in Ft. Worth. After the war Delta transferred her to Dallas where she and her husband met and were married in 1952. Gennie is survived by daughter Mary Patricia and husband Bruce A. Noller, grandchildren Adam Charles and Laura Ann Noller, husband John's son John Maxwell Harris and wife Donna, grandson Brian Douglas Harris & wife Emily, great grandchildren Holden Maxwell Harris & Abigail Harris, John's son Douglas Bartlett Harris, grandchildren John & Beth Harris.
