Melba was a charter member of Avondale Presbyterian Church of Birmingham and a lifetime homemaker. Her husband, Jack R. Wambsganss; her parents and two brothers, Harold and Charles Culpepper, preceded her in death. She is ssurvived by her daughter, Lisa W. McDaniel (Wayne); son, Richard E. Wambsganss, Sr. (Charlotte); sister, Ann C. Sherrill (Bill); grandchildren, Susan W. Davis (Dan), Richared E. Wambsganss, Jr., Jake R. Wambsganss, II (Takako), Stanley E. Arrington, Jr. and J. Chadwick Arrington; great grandchildren, Katie L. Davis, Benjamin D. Davis, Caleb R. Wambsganss, Hannah C. Wambsganss and Charlotte T. Wambsganss. Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at Noon, December 4, 2008. The Reverend Richard E. Wambsganss, Jr. will preside.
