County History and Geography
In the Gulf Coast
Prairies and Marshes Region of south Texas, San Patricio
County was formed in 1836 as an original county. Its county seat, Sinton,
is on US-77, about 120 miles SE of San Antonio. San Patricio is bordered by the counties
of Aransas, Refugio, Bee, Live Oak,
Jim Wells and Nueces.
