Randall County
County History and Geography
In the High Plains Region of the Texas Panhandle,
Randall
County was formed in 1876 (organized in 1889) from
the Bexar and Young territories. Its county seat, Canyon, is on I-27,
about 15 miles south of Amarillo. Randall is bordered by the counties of
Armstrong,
Potter, Swisher, Castro
and Deaf Smith.
