History
In the Upper 
Coastal Plains Region of Georgia, 
Seminole County was formed in 1920 from Decatur and 
Early Counties. Its county seat, 
Donalsonville, is on 
US-84 about 230 miles south of Atlanta and 60 miles northwest of Tallahassee, FL. Seminole is bordered by the Georgia counties of 
Early, Miller and
Decatur, the Florida county of 
Jackson, and the 
Alabama county of Houston.
