History

In the Piedmont Region of Georgia, Pike County was formed in 1822 from Monroe County. Its county seat, Zebulon, is on US-19 about 50 miles south of Atlanta and 70 miles northeast of Columbus. Pike is bordered by the counties of Spalding, Lamar, Upson and Meriwether.
