Calhoun County
History
In the Upper
Coastal Plains Region of Georgia,
Calhoun County was formed in
1854 from the northwestern corner of Baker and the
northeastern corner of Early Counties. Its county seat,
Morgan, is about 185 miles
south of Atlanta and 75 miles SSE of Columbus. Calhoun is bordered by the counties of
Randolph, Terrell,
Dougherty, Baker,
Early and Clay.
