Drew County

County History and Geography

In the Timberlands Region of southern Arkansas, Drew County was formed in 1846 from Arkansas and Bradley counties. Its county seat, Monticello,  is on US-425, about 90 miles SSE of Little Rock. Drew is bounded by the counties of Lincoln, Desha, Chicot, Ashley, Bradley and Cleveland.
