A longtime resident of the Furrs community, she was born July 17, 1927. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and spending time with her grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Joe Herndon officiating. Burial will be in Black Zion Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Cleland of Colorado Springs, Colo; two sons, Roger Culpepper and wife, Rose, of Palmer Lake, Colo., and Rodney Culpepper and wife, Sammie, of Furrs; four grandchildren, Steven Culpepper, Josh Culpepper, Matthew Cleland and Brandon Cleland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Milton Culpepper, in 1999; four sisters, Ruby Adderholt, Ludie Crouch, Marie Wilson and Mable Dillard; two brothers, Roy Dearman and Luke Dearman; and a grandson, Brian Culpepper. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.1 |
