McCarson of Taylors; six sisters, Debra Coleman of Greer, Janet Gilbert and Carolyn Cooke of Travelers Rest, Hazel Ricker and Linda Wood of Taylors, and Helene Kibblehouse of Fountain Inn; four brothers, Fred Medlin and Joe Medlin of Travelers Rest, Robert Medlin of Campobello and Ted Medlin of Ocala, Fla; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a very dear friend, Wayne O'Dell, of Greer. She was predeceased by brothers, James Medlin Jr., T.J. Medlin, Charles Medlin, Bill Medlin and Paris E. Medlin; and a sister, Brenda Babb. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at Barton Memorial Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m., at The Howze Mortuary. The family will be at the home. The Howze Mortuary, Funeral Directors, Travelers Rest, is in charge of arrangements.3 |

Biography* | | Obituary: COLUMBIA — Service for Margaret White Culpepper, 77, will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Brad Lewis, Brian Lewis and Brandy Lewis; great-grandson, Adam Lewis; nephew, William M. Bennett; and friend, Howard Moody. Mrs. Culpepper, wife of the late H. W. “Dub” Culpepper, died Friday, January 14, 2005. Born in Nashville, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late William White and Lela Escue White. She fulfilled her childhood dream to be a loving mother. Blessed with five children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, life was complete. Trusting God to see her through everything in this life to eternity with Him, she bravely and gracefully faced cancer without fear. A loving and tender soul, she in thanksgiving gave generously to others. Please join us in celebrating life by following her example, giving back to God in thanksgiving for His many blessings, by giving generously to one of her favorite charities: Feed the children or Special Olympics. You are sure to be blessed. Surviving are sons, Michael W. Culpepper of San Francisco, Calif. and Kenneth H. Culpepper and his wife, Mary, of Charlotte, N.C; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Don Rothwell of Columbia. Susan and Charles Tyler of Manning and Kathy and Eddie Wingard of Blythewood; brother, William B. white of Columbia; sister, Terri Bennett of Columbia; grandchildren, Brad Lewis and his wife, Amanda, Brian Lewis and his wife, Marcia, Brandy Lewis, Kristine Lopez, Tracy Cardoza, Houston Culpepper, Betsy Tyler, Katie Tyler and Laura Wingard; and great-grandchildren, Adam Lewis, Nocholas Lewis, Kiana Lopez and Danica Lopez.
