At a court held for Norfolk County on the 16th day of November 1857 The las Will and Testament of John Culpepper dec'd was prov ed by the oaths of D. T. Driver and John D. Brittain two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. On the motion of Sylvester Moore who made oath thereto and together with John Moore his security entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of One thousand dollars conditioned according to law. which Bond is ordered to be recorded. Research note* | 3 Sep 2004 | John Culpepper is assumed to have been a son of Thomas Culpepper [ID 84] since Sylvester B. Moore was the administrator (with will annexed) of his will. And Sylvester B. Moore lived almost adjacent to this Thomas Culpepper in 1860, and was a witness to Thomas' will in 1867. Also, census records indicate that Thomas probably had another son not mentioned in his will.
