Anna was born in Providence on August 17, 1908 to William E. and Nancy Caroline (CULPEPPER) Holloman.. She lived most of her adult life in the Detroit, MI. area and was a retired bookkeeper from Commonwealth Brass Co. She was an avid reader and world traveler. She was a Baptist.
Anna was the descendant of a pioneer family who settled near Providence in 1804. She was a member of "The Daughters of the Confederacy" through her grandfather, J.W. Holloman, a POW of the Civil War who later served in the Kentucky State House of Representatives in Frankfort from the Providence district.
She was predeceased by her only child, June White, who is buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, James F. Lawson of Clearwater, FL; granddaughter, Kathy Harrison of Howell, MI., grandson, Larry Brown of Warren, OH; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Roy Ellen Simms of Providence, and Nancy Pattullo of St. Helen, MI.
Memorial services were held in Clearwater FL.1 |
