Culpepper; his mother, Eleanor Faye White Culpepper; two brothers, Gordon Lee Culpepper and Robert Grady Culpepper, all of Chesapeake; five nephews; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Reid W. Culpepper (b 26 Feb 1917, d May 1983) and his sister, Kathryn Jean Culpepper Poindexter (b 19 May 1954, d Nov 1992). A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake, and at the residence at all other times. He retired from the Plumbers and Fitters Union Local #110. He was very active in the South Norfolk Boys Baseball for many years, was a member of Seaboard Mason Lodge #56 and served proudly in the U.S. Army, member of Southside Baptist Church.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Janey H. Culpepper; three sons, Patrick A. Culpepper and wife Cathy, Dale E. Culpepper and Richard L. Culpepper; a daughter, Jean M. Baker; a step-daughter, Diane C. Coble; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, April 16, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Kirk Culpepper. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel Sunday from 5 to 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to CHKD, Norfolk, VA.8 |

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 11-12 at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk with Pastor Terry Riddle officiating.4 |
