Obituary* | 16 Apr 2014 | IDA BELLE DOBBS CULPEPPER, 97, Entered into this life on July 17, 1916 to James Alpha Dobbs and Zora Mae Ray Dobbs in Chilton County, Alabama. She entered into eternal rest with Jesus on Sunday, April 13, 2014, after a lengthy illness in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Roy Warren. She believed in Jesus, family, friends, neighbors and helping people. She loved everybody and everybody loved her. She was a pristine example of the Proverbs 31:10-34 woman in the Bible. She believed in never being idle except for having fun with family and friends. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with family. She endured the hardship of the depression, of being poor and having to "make do" and "do without" most of her life, yet her life was rich with blessings from above, blessings of family, friends and neighbors. She was a beautiful woman within and without. She enjoyed worshipping our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with her church family at 1st Baptist Church Pine Level where she was a member. She joins in Heaven her husband of almost 63 years, Samuel Riley Culpepper; her oldest son, Darrell Wendell Culpepper; her parents, Zora and Alpha Dobbs; two sisters and their husbands, Edith Dobbs Moore and George Moore and Mozelle Dobbs Lewis and Clyde Lewis; three sons-in-laws, William Daniel Ozier, Richard Boyson and Harold Causey; one daughter-in-law, Bettye Varner Culpepper. Left to cherish beautiful memories are four children, Myra Culpepper Boyson of Frankfort, KY, Alpha Stewart Culpepper of Dickson, TN, Sylvia Sue Culpepper Causey of Alex City, AL and Barbara Culpepper Ozier Warren and son-in-law, Roy O. Warren of Deatsville, AL; one brother, Farrell Harlan Dobbs (Joyce Jolley Dobbs) of Bloomington, IN; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Michael Vineyard, Pastor of 1st Baptist Church Pine Level and Chaplain Larry Layne of Baptist Hospice at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with a grandson, Craig Ozier and his wife, Lynsey performing and piano music by Mrs. Freda Vineyard.
