I have stories of the deaths of Edna Bodiford and Forrest Culpepper. Both died of pneumonia. She died while giving birth to a baby boy. Forrest died as she was giving birth as,well. They had to carry him out the window so she would not see that he had died so that she could have the baby. The baby died at birth and is burried next to them at Walnut Cemetery in Bremond, Robertson County, TX. My grandfather, his sister, Janice, and his baby brother, Marshall were taken in and raised by Edna Bodifords ( their mom's) parents.10

Obituary*27 Oct 2010 Marshall Culpepper, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2010 after a short battle with pneumonia. He resided, along with his loving wife of 68 years at Regency Manor Nursing Home in Floresville, Texas. He was born in Bremond, Texas but always called San Antonio his home.
     He is survived by his wife, Lillian Joyce (Bankston) Culpepper; sons, Forrest Marshall Culpepper and wife Cindy; Charles Douglas Culpepper and wife Janice. Marshall had four grandchildren; Chris Culpepper , Stephanie (Culpepper) Ricondo and her husband Ronnie, Douglas Culpepper and wife Laurie and Christy (Culpepper) Edwards and husband Christopher. He and wife Joyce were also blessed with three great grandchildren; Austin Ricondo, Marshall Ricondo and Tressie Edwards.
     Mr. Culpepper lived a strong and blessed life and was a WW II veteran. After leaving the Air Force after 20 years of active duty and 10 years of reserve duty , he started several businesses and retired in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, country music and being with his family more than anything. He was a strong Christian and a gentle man and will be greatly missed by everyone. You couldn't ask for a better husband, father or friend.
     Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Mission Burial Park South with full military honors. For personal acknowledgment you may sign the guest book at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section.3
