Culpeper County

Culpeper appears to have been named for Thomas Culpeper,
second baron Culpeper of Thoresway, royal governor 1677-83. However, few Culpepers or Culpeppers have ever lived in
the town or county of Culpeper, and we have found no Culpeper/Culpeppers
in records of deeds, marriages, census, deaths or burials.
