Young County
County History and Geography
In north central Texas in
the Cross Timbers and Prairie areas, Young County was formed in 1856 from
Cooke County. Graham, the county's seat of
government, is about 65 miles northwest of Fort Worth. Young County is
bordered by the counties of Archer,
Jack, Palo Pinto,
Stephens and Throckmorton.
