In the Blackland
Prairie Region of north Texas, Hill
County was formed in 1853 from
Navarro
County. Its county seat,
Hillsboro,
is on I-35, just south of the merger of I-35E and I-35W, and about 50 miles
south of both Dallas and Fort Worth. Hill is bordered by the counties of
Johnson, Ellis,
Navarro, Limestone,
McLennan and Bosque.
