Dillon County

History
In the eastern South
Carolina part of the Coastal Plains region, Dillon County was formed in
1910 from Marion County. Its county seat, the
town of Dillon, is on I-95, about 50 miles southwest of Fayetteville,
NC, and 120 miles ENE of Columbia. Dillon County is bordered by the
South Carolina counties of Horry,
Marion, Florence and
Marlboro, and the North Carolina county of
Robeson.
