Onslow County
County History and Geography
In the Inner Coastal Plain and the southeastern part of North Carolina, Onslow County was formed in
1734
from New Hanover and old Bath County.
Jacksonville, its county seat, is on US-17, about 100 miles southeast of
Raleigh. Onslow County, home of the Camp Lejeune Marine Base, is bordered by the
Atlantic Ocean and the counties of Pender, Duplin, Jones and
Carteret.

Co., NC, quite a few Culpeppers are shown. This must be a family-owned
business. The Culpeppers shown are
Craig S. Culpepper (born 14 Nov 1965) and his wife Joy A. Culpepper
(born 28 Jul 1966). Also, Archie T. Culpepper (#25257, born 1936), and
wife E. Culpepper (#25297, born 1935). This couple is the right age to
be the parents of Craig Steven, but Archie's obit shows a different son
named Craig Travis Culpepper, and he was born 28 Aug 1961. Also
appearing at this address is another one of Archie's sons, James Warren
Culpepper (#25298, born Nov 1954). Another name is Russell L. Culpepper,
born 30 Jan 1937. Russell is not in Family tree, and his relationship to
Archie cannot be determined, but he might be Craig Steven Culpepper's
father. A few other female Culpeppers are also shown. More research
required to sort this out. |
