History
In south central Kansas,
Sedgwick County was formed in 1867. Its county seat,
Wichita, is on
I-35, about 180 miles southeast of Kansas City and 140 miles north of Oklahoma
City. Sedgwick is bordered by the counties of
Reno, Harvey, Butler, Cowley,
Sumner and Kingman.
