Butler County

History
In southeastern Kansas,
Butler County was formed in 1855. Its county seat,
El Dorado, is on
I-35 about 25 miles northeast of Wichita. Butler is bordered by the counties of
Marion, Chase, Greenwood, Elk, Cowley, Sedgwick and
Harvey.
