Franklin County

County History and Geography

In the River Valley Region of western Arkansas, Franklin County was formed in 1837 from Crawford County. Ozark and Charleston, are its county seats. Ozark, on I-40, is about 125 miles northwest of Little Rock. Franklin is bordered by the counties of Madison, Johnson, Logan, Sebastian and Crawford.
