Larry was born October 2, 1943 in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1962 and attended Amarillo College. He was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church.
After returning from San Francisco in the late '70s, he opened his business and became an expert in antique and furniture restoration.
Larry's Firehouse shop was a favorite meeting place for his many friends and family. He was passionate about his work and his customers. He loved seeing their faces when he turned a dilapidated family heirlooms into a masterpiece's.
Larry was a wonderful listener and always had the time for anyone. He loved his family, his friends and his pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Velma Perry; and a brother, Jerry.
Survivors include his wife, Bette; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Linda Raines of Denton; a brother, Rick Perry of Bryan; three nieces; and a nephew.3 |

Jerry W. Perry, 59, of Amarillo, Texas died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Amarillo, Potter Co., Texas.
Mr. Perry was born Feb. 3, 1945, in Amarillo, Texas, graduating from Tascosa High School in 1963. He lived and worked in Amarillo since returning from Dallas in 1987. Jerry enjoyed life, loved his friends and family and was a person who never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all. Jerry was a member of San Jacinto Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Velma Perry.
Survivors include two brothers, Larry Perry of Amarillo and Rick Perry of Bryan, Texas; a sister, Linda Raines of Denton, Texas; three nieces; a nephew; and a special friend, Patty Nall of Amarillo.3 |
