Burial will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, May 4, in New Cleveland Cemetery, under the direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home of Ash Grove, Mo.
Leonard was born in Pace to Jesse [Pace] and Winnie Lee [Pace]. He attended Delta State University for his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He was in the United States Army, before completing his Ph.D. in Education at Ole Miss.
He lived most of his live in Helena-West Helena, Ark. A teacher and career counselor, he was employed at Central High School and retired from the University of Arkansas at Phillips County
He is survived by two daughters, Cherin Pace of Little Rock, Ark., and Laurie Pace Redden of Willard, Mo; a brother, Larry Pace of Cleveland; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Ambrose, Larry Crumby, David Durr, Durwood King, Jerry Oliver and Earl "Butch" Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the charity of choice.3 |
