Surviving are his wife, Edith M. Culpepper; three sons, Robert B. Culpepper Jr. of Atlanta, Jeffery L. Culpepper of Athens, Ga., and Ronald A. Culpepper of Savannah, Ga; two daughters, Joyce Culpepper of Steelton and Barbara Culpepper Brister of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held at noon Wednesday in his church. Burial will be in William Howard Day Cemetery, Swatara Twp. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday in the church. Friends will be received at 237 N. Harrisburg St., Steelton. Franklin Funeral Home, Steelton, is handling arrangements. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and its Laymen's Ministry. He was President of the Dauphin County Residence Council; participated with the Steelton Senior Center; and was helmsman with Bethesda Mission. Tiger Woods and the Atlanta Falcons were his leisure enjoyments. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Thomas Culpepper; and twin brother, Jeffrey Culpepper; he leaves to share special memories: sister, Joyce A. Culpepper of Steelton; brother, Ronald A. Culpepper of Savannah, GA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert's life will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 27th, at his church, 20 Locust Street, Steelton, with viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in William Howard Day Cemetery. She was also a member of AFSCME Retiree Chapter 9001, Cyrenus Temple, and Sheba Chapter O.E.S. Mrs. Culpepper retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Liquor Control Board Comptroller's Office. In addition to being an accomplished seamstress, she also enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and television game shows. Mrs. Culpepper was the widow of Robert B. "Pep" Culpepper, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1997. Surviving are three sons, Robert B., Jr., of Steelton, Jeffrey L. of Athens, Georgia, Ronald A. and his wife, Olivia M. of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Joyce A. Culpepper of Steelton; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, June 23, 2003, at her church, 1850 South 19th Street, Harrisburg, with Rev. Dr. W. Braxton Cooley, Sr., Pastor officiating, with a visitation and viewing from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in William Howard Day Cemetery, Steelton.
