Obituary*6 Nov 2004 Charles W. "Charlie" Culpepper, 78, passed away Nov. 16, 1925 (sic), peacefully in his home. He was the son of the late Marion "Olah" Culpepper and Charles W. Culpepper Sr. He was also predeceased by his brother, Malbon Henry Culpepper and his sister, Mary Culpepper White. Charlie was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Vernell Sawyer Culpepper; his daughters, Linda V. Culpepper and Katie Lage and husband Lonnie; his son, Steven C. Culpepper; a brother, Cecil Kilgore Culpepper; and the light of his life, his grandson, Rick B. Lage. Services will be private. Charlie made an anatomical gift of his body for the betterment of mankind. The family would like to thank everyone who had been so gracious to them during Charlie's illness. A special thanks to Comfort Care Hospice, Mandy Evans, Linda Bellew and Shelia Ansell for their care and compassion. We'll see you later Bobo. We love you.5
