Obituary*24 Dec 2010 DOVER, NC-- Vivian Meadows Culpepper, 81, of 155 Burkett Road, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Culpepper was born in Nitro, WV, and lived in Lakeland, FL, for 32 years before residing in Dover. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Culpepper. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
     She is survived by her daughters, Vivian Cartwright of Charleston, WV, Helen Merritt of New Bern, NC, Deborah Williams and husband Charles of Dover, NC, and Barbara Branch of Petersburg, VA; a brother, Donald Meadows of Harrisburg, PA; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Luke Schreiner of Lakeland, FL.
     In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to Hospice 3HC, 204 Main Street, Maysville, NC 28555; or to the United Way, P.O. Box 1357, Highland City, FL 33846-1357.

     Preceded Clarence in death, father Johnnie Lee Culpepper, mother Mattie Culpepper, and sister, Clarice Anderson.
     Clarence leaves to cherish in his memories: Wife Oxana Culpepper, one daughter Cecilia Culpepper-James and son-in-law Curtis James, three grandsons: Curtis Dwayne James, Cody Dimitri James, and Christopher Deion James, one sister Geraldine Wilrich and three brothers Gerald (Elizabeth) Culpepper of Columbia Ga., Tommy Culpepper of LaPorte, Tx, Willie Culpepper of Houston, Tx, and a special cousin Albert James, and four special friends Roy Phillip and Clifton Smach of Houston, Tx and Henry Jackson and Arthur W. Primas of Killeen Tx.
     Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 - 8p.m. in the OJ Chapel. The Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the Houston National Cemetery Chapel, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038. Interment: Houston National Cemetery.
