Lamb County
County History and Geography
On the South High Plains of West
Texas, Lamb County was created from Bexar Territory in 1876 and organized
in 1908. Littlefield, the county seat, is in the southern part of the
county on U.S. Highway 84, forty miles northwest of Lubbock. Lamb County
is bordered by the counties of Parmer, Castro,
Hale, Hockley and Bailey.
