History
In the southwest region of
New Mexico,
Doņa Ana County was established in 1852 as an
original county. Its county seat,
Las Cruces, is on I-25 and I-10, about 220 miles south of
Albuquerque. Doņa
Ana is bordered by the New Mexico counties of
Otero, Socorro, Sierra and Luna, the Texas county of El
Paso, and the Mexican State of Chihuahua.
