Harrison County

History
In the Bluegrass
region of north central Kentucky,
Harrison County was formed in 1793 from Bourbon and
Scott Counties. Its county seat,
Cynthiana, is on
US-27 about 20 miles north of Lexington. Harrison is bordered by the counties of
Grant, Pendleton, Bracken, Robertson, Nicholas, Bourbon and
Scott.
