Haralson County
History
In the Piedmont Region of Georgia,
Haralson County was formed in 1856 from
Carroll
and
Polk Counties. Its county seat,
Buchanan, is on
US-27 about 50 miles west of Atlanta and 100 miles south of Chattanooga,
TN. Haralson is bordered by the Georgia counties of
Polk,
Paulding and Carroll, and the Alabama county of
Cleburne.
