Burials
Shelfer
Cemetery
Havana, Gadsden County, Florida. From US 27 in Havana, FL. Take State Road
12 East. From Havana City limits it is exactly one mile to cemetery on
your right. There is a sign just off the highway. Please note the avenue
of large oak trees behind the cemetery. These were planted on December 23,
1880, by Nathan Shelfer, patriarch of the Shelfer family and donor of the
cemetery land. He died the next day and was the first family member buried
in the cemetery.
