Bay County
History
On the Gulf Coast in the
westernmost part of the Panhandle Region of
Florida (aka the Redneck Riviera),
Bay County was formed in 1913 from
Calhoun and
Washington
counties. Its county seat,
Panama City, is on
US-98 about 80 miles southwest of Tallahassee and 90 miles east of Pensacola. Bay is bordered by the
Gulf of Mexico and the counties of Walton,
Washington, Calhoun and
Gulf.

Cemetery (African-American)
Panama City, Bay County, Florida. Located in the Millville section of Panama
City, on Redwood Avenue. This Cemetery is kept in good condition, and has a
chain linked fence around it. There are two entrances that are always
opened, Redwood AV. and Seventh street.
