Phillips County

County History and Geography

In the Delta Region of eastern Arkansas, Phillips County was formed in 1820 from Arkansas County. Its county seat, Helena, is on US-49, about 100 miles east of Little Rock. Phillips is bordered by the Arkansas counties of Lee, Monroe, Arkansas and Desha, the Mississippi River, and the Mississippi counties of Coahoma and Tunica.
