Conway County

County History and Geography

In the River Valley Region of western Arkansas, Conway County was formed before 1830 as an original county. Its county seat, Morrilton, is on the Arkansas River and I-40, about 40 miles NW of Little Rock.  Conway County is bordered by the counties of Van Buren, Faulkner, Perry, Yell and Pope.
