A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a member of Mars Hill Methodist Church and the TN Walking Horse Assoc. He enjoyed going to Hardees and having coffee with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Royalston Culpepper.

Survivors include one son, John Mark Culpepper of Englewood, TN; two daughters, Sarah Kincannon of Salt Lake City, UT and Kelly King and husband Mark of Athens, TN; mother, Helen Culpepper of Englewood, TN; two brothers, Leonard Culpepper of Cleveland, TN and Malcolm E. Culpepper of St. Matthew, S.C; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, February 1, 2011, in the South Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm Tuesday prior to the service.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Culpepper was born January 18, 1948 in Athens TN. and passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. He was the son of Malcolm Royalston Culpepper and Helen Marie Moses Culpepper. He enjoyed a 42 year career in the Credit Union Industry and served in the Tennessee National Guard. He enjoyed supporting his son's in youth sports, playing golf and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Culpepper; sons, Chad (Tina) Culpepper and Blake Culpepper; grandchildren, Tristin, Gavin, Hayden and Hailee; brother, Leonard Culpepper and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Johnny Culpepper. Ed will be missed by all who knew and loved him.4
