Concordia Parish
History
In the Crossroads
region of central Louisiana,
Concordia Parish was formed in 1805 from
Avoyelles Parish. Its
parish seat,
Vidalia, is on
US-65 about 80 miles NNW of Baton Rouge and just across the Mississippi River
from Natchez, MS. Concordia is bordered by the Louisiana parishes of
West Feliciana, Avoyelles, Catahoula and Tensas, as well as by
the Mississippi counties of Adams and Wilkinson.
